Oghi Welfare Foundation grew from a single act of compassion into a registered organisation serving humanity.
“One day, my friend Zakir Bhai called me and informed me about a child in Seeri Village who was suffering from a hole in the heart and urgently needed financial support. I immediately visited the child’s home, documented the case, and shared it publicly. Many friends and well-wishers contacted us and generously donated. After collecting the donations, we visited the child’s family again and handed over the financial assistance.
After successfully completing this case, we started receiving many applications from people facing different social and financial problems. At that point, we realised that these issues could be addressed more effectively through a formal organisation (Tanzeem).”
Turning that vision into reality meant completing the Foundation’s official registration — one of its biggest early challenges. Remarkably, Oghi Welfare Foundation Registered was formally registered in a very short time, an achievement made possible with the support and guidance of Zahoor Ahmed Muavia Sb, Abbas Nawaz Tanoli Sb and many dedicated friends whose hard work and commitment made the Foundation a reality.
From humble beginnings to meaningful impact — here is how our story has unfolded.
It began with a single phone call about a child in Seeri Village suffering from a hole in the heart. The Chairman documented the case, shared it publicly, and the community's generous response funded the child's treatment — the spark that started it all.
As more people came forward with social and financial hardships, it became clear these needs could be served more effectively through a formal organisation (Tanzeem). Oghi Welfare Foundation was formed to answer that call.
With the support and guidance of Zahoor Ahmed Muavia Sb, Abbas Nawaz Tanoli Sb and many dedicated friends, the Foundation completed its official registration in a remarkably short time — a rare achievement.
In collaboration with Aiwan-e-Tijarat Oghi, the Foundation reached families devastated by the Buner floods, distributing PKR 750,000 in cash and cheques to the most deserving households.
The Foundation now serves across education, healthcare, employment and emergency relief — sponsoring students, distributing wheelchairs, creating livelihoods and standing with families in crisis across Oghi, Mansehra and beyond.
